We stayed Japanese traditional spa resort hotel “Shinyu, Tateshina” last week. It was amazing experience for us and NOT expensive for everyone. There locates in Nagano. It takes about 3.5hours from Tokyo.
Especially snow season and the middle of Summer are recommendable to visit.
